The 17th Biennial Congress of the MRS and associated Young Investigator Satellite Meeting (YISM) will be held in Princeton University's McDonnell Hall with poster sessions and meals in the atrium of the Frick Chemistry Building next door.  Princeton University sits on a beautiful 500-acre campus in Princeton, NJ, USA and is near to miles and miles of great outdoor trails that line the Delaware river and Raritan Canal.

On-Campus Parking at Princeton

Free overnight parking next to the conference dormitories is available to all conference attendees in Lot 20 (marked on map below).  Attendees requiring parking on campus must indicate this on the registration form and pick up a temporary parking pass at the conference registration table.

Those traveling from Newark Airport can take the NJTransit Northeast Extension line to Princeton Junction train station. A shuttle train, referred to as ‘The Dinky” will take them from Princeton Junction to campus. See attached map that shows the relation of Princeton Station (where the Dinky drops off) to the rest of campus and town. The map above marks where the Dinky drops off on Princeton's campus.

Those traveling from Philadelphia or points south can take NJTransit from Trenton and then follow the above directions from Princeton Junction.


Trains from the Princeton campus reach four international airports: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia International Airport (LGA).  Newark and Philadelphia are the closest (roughly equal distance from campus in opposite directions).
